Bicester Heritage.
Bicester Heritage is based on a 348-acre former R.A.F base in Oxfordshire and is home to one of my favourite events, the Sunday Scramble. There is plenty to see and do at this event, from exploring the Technical Site with its recently restored 1920’s and 30’s buildings to the many vintage aircraft and army vehicles displayed here. There was even a squad of WW2 soldiers going through their mock drills at the Scramble earlier this year. You can almost imagine what life was like in the 40’s at this former RAF Bicester airfield. This is in addition to the wonderful collection of cars that is usually present at each event.
