June’s Porsche Club (GB) Region 20 meet did not disappoint. In all the years I have been attending this event, it has never disappointed me. Not once. There are always many interesting cars and many interesting people present and it is this mix of interesting cars and people that is so attractive.

The star of this month’s event was undoubtedly the brutal 911 (993) Carrera GT2. Only 194 GT2s were built over three years, of which approximately 57 were completed to road-going specification. One of these was sold by Sothebys for £1.8 million in 2016. It was a privilege to see one in the metal.
